Engineers who draw, test and ship.
Linework is a product engineering studio of eighteen engineers and designers. We sit between the idea and the factory: we turn sketches and prototypes into parts that can be quoted, built and certified.
Most of our clients are hardware teams without a mechanical department of their own. Some stay for one sprint; most stay for the whole programme.

02 — Story

We started in a prototype shop, and never left the bench.
The studio began as two engineers with a 3D printer, a milling machine and a list of startups whose prototypes worked once and broke at the first moulding trial. Fixing those parts taught us that most problems are decided long before tooling, on the drawing.
Twelve years later the bench is bigger and the team has grown, but the method has not changed: draw it, test the risky part first, and hand over everything a supplier needs to build it the same way every time.
